As standard our policies include 100+ sports and activities, this offers cover for a wide range of activities for backpackers. However, we know that some of our customers like to take part in more extreme sports such as Alpine Mountain Biking, black water rafting, Cascading, Caving/pot holing, Gorge scrambling/walking, Paragliding, Rock climbing and many more. You can easily add cover for these additional, higher risk activities after your purchase, you'll pay by the day or week, so you don't pay for cover you don't need - it's quick, easy and all the information you need is available in your Customer Zone.
A number of winter sports can also be included as an additional extra to your cover - simply make sure you select 'Yes' to "Winter Sports travel insurance cover" to make sure you are protected.

** You can extend your policy up to a total of 18 months abroad, extensions are subject to rates and criteria, in particular we may be unable to offer you an extension if you've had a change in health or if you've made a claim. You can add Winter Sports and Additional Sports & Activities by day, week or for the duration of your trip, if adding post purchase an addition must be made at latest the day before your planned activity.
