If you're heading out into the snow on your backpacking trip, you need to ensure you're covered for any winter sports you choose to try. Our Winter sports cover is easily added on to your policy and protects you for a wide range of winter sports.
If you add winter sports to you policy you'll also receive cover for your equipment or equipment hire as well as your lift pass when you're skiing or snowboarding. You will also be covered for piste closure and cover if an avalanche delays your arrival or departure from your booked resort. It is simple to add your winter sports add-on pack to your travel insurance - you can do this whilst making your way through our secure online quote system. You'll also be able to add on a range of additional extreme sports if you are looking to really add some excitement to your backpacking holiday.

** You can extend your policy up to a total of 18 months abroad, extensions are subject to rates and criteria, in particular we may be unable to offer you an extension if you've had a change in health or if you've made a claim. You can add Winter Sports and Additional Sports & Activities by day, week or for the duration of your trip, if adding post purchase an addition must be made at latest the day before your planned activity.
